Volunteer

Join our team and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Lifeline volunteers are crucial to our organisation. They are an invaluable component of our team locally, and play an essential role in delivery of support services, retail offerings and fundraising activities.

Without our volunteers we would not be able to continue our crisis support and suicide prevention services locally.

Volunteer options include:
  • Face to Face Counsellor
  • Telephone Crisis Supporter
  • Lifeline Shop Volunteer
  • Event Volunteer

All counsellors need to be University trained in Counselling or Psychology and be eligible to be registered with the relevant professional bodies. Lifeline provides ongoing supervision and professional development for volunteers.

Student placement is offered and involves general office duties, networking, student placement and observing counselling sessions.
